Wachovia Bank robbed on West 95th in OP

From OP Police: At 9:28 a.m., Overland Park Officers responded to the Wachovia Bank in the 5300 block of W. 95th Street regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred. When the Officers arrived they were told that a B/M armed with a gun entered the bank and ordered employees and two customers to get down on the floor, all complied.

The robber then jumped a teller’s counter and took cash from the money drawer.  The suspect left the bank through the south doors.  It is unknown if there was a vehicle or other suspect involved. No one injured in the robbery.

The robber is described as a slender B/M, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, wearing a face mask, black hooded jacket pulled up and blue jeans. Nearby Trailwood Elementary School (5100 block of W. 95th Street) was locked down for a time since the robber was last seen leaving the bank on foot.
