Erick Gandarilla, 27, was shot and killed back in August at a car wash on Southwest Boulevard. It happened during an apparent robbery. Now Jackson County prosecutors have filed charges against Mario Peregrina, 21, who already faces charges in another case -- the slaying of Juan Lagunes-Lagunes in October 2007.
In the first killing, authorities allege a group of men offered a ride to Lagunes-Lagunes and planned to rob him. According to court records, after Lagunes-Lagunes bragged that California gangs were the best, they allegedly pushed him out of their van, and Peregrina allegedly shot him in the back. Police found his body in the middle of McGee Trafficway.
