I know it's tempting to run errands during the workday. But every policeman worth the name is going to notice if they see a big yellow school bus parked outside the liquor store. (Also? You get style points for asking one of your pint-size passengers to hide your booze for you. Not saying you'll keep your job, but you get to keep your style points.)

Why is a police officer enforcing a school policy or even investigating and worse, reporting an act that is not illegal?

Well Tom, I think most officers would take the chance of having a charge thrown out to make sure the bus driver wasn't getting tanked with kids on the bus. That's probably why.

There is no reason for the driver to be an automatic suspect for that. I'm sick of discrimination against drinkers.
