Jackson County looking at Buckner, Lone Jack arsons

From the Jackson County Sheriff: Over the last several months, sheriff's investigators have noticed that someone has been setting a handful of fires in unincorporated Jackson County, MO.

Investigators know the fires, three near Buckner on the same property and two near Lone Jack on adjoining property, have been purposely set. In addition, they have occurred during different times of the day. Each fire damaged a residence or building, and fortunately, no one has been injured in the blazes. However, one of the buildings damaged in a fire was not insured and suffered a substantial amount of loss.

Each investigation is ongoing, and there may be a reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the case. Sheriff's office investigators are asking that anyone having information on the fires to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS or the sheriff's office investigations unit at 816-524-4302.

Yeah, one of the residences was my hubby's boss. This person burned down a 500,000 log cabin that they had spent 7 years building.
It was featured in a huge photo shoot in Log Cabin Homes magazine.
