Mexico tells citizens to swallow their gum

Officials are cracking down because the average square yard in Mexico City has 70 pieces of chewing gum.

Mexicos' director of conservation of pulic spaces shruggs off doctor's concerns that chewing gum could clog up the intestines.

"I've always swallowed my gum, and it's never done me any harm," he said.
