From Joe Lambe: A former nurse pleaded guilty today to one count of aggravated sexual battery for two separate attacks on female patients at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
A Johnson County judge will sentence Shawn A. Garbin later within a sentencing range from 31 to 136 months. In one December 2007 attack, prosecutors said, Garbin, 35, forced an intoxicated woman to have oral sex with him. In another within a day, he tried to get a patient to touch him inappropriately and groped her.
