Metro Squad activated in Raytown quadruple homicide

From Sara: Twenty detectives are providing extra manpower to help track down whoever killed four people — including two children — whose bodies were found Monday in Raytown.

Metro Squad investigators officially took over the case at 9 a.m. today and expect to be working leads late into the night, Kansas City Police Detective Robert Delameter said.

The bodies were discovered about 12:45 p.m. inside an apartment near 61st Street and Raytown Road. Police identified one victim as Precious Triplett, 21, who lived in the apartment. Also killed were her two nephews, who relatives identified as 10-year-old Amir Clemons and 7-year-old Gerard Clemons.

Police initially thought the fourth victim was the father of Triplett’s 1-year-old boy, who was found unharmed in the apartment with the bodies. However, Delameter said today that the fourth victim was another man who Triplett knew.

James - a bit testy, are you?

this whole thing about killing kids is just beyond me.

These were my BEST FRIENDS. When I saw it my eyes just couldn't stop crying. This is horrible. This was on purpose and everybody knows it. This shouldn't have happened. I can't believe it. Now, I'm at school writing about this for an essay. What a shame.
