From Olathe PD: At approximately, 0138 hours on March 31st, 2009, Olathe Police were dispatched to a reported armed disturbance in the 1300 block of east Park Street.
Officers arrived and located a 29 year-old male who had sustained two gunshot wounds. One wound was to the chest and a second wound to the foot. The victim was transported to the Overland Park Regional Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery. The victim is reportedly in critical condition. The victim's name is not being released pending notifications.
A 22 year-old male is currently in custody for the shooting incident. The name of the suspect is not being released pending formal charging. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Olathe Police Department at 913-971-7455 or TIPS Hotline, 816-474-8477.
