The Lazarus rule

In Maryland, a cult member who allegedly starved her child to death has agreed to plead guilty -- on the stipulation that all charges will be dropped if the baby is resurrected. Snip:

"This is something she absolutely insisted upon, and it's indicative of the fact that she is still brainwashed and still a victim of this cult, and until she's deprogrammed, she's not going to think any differently," said Ramkissoon's attorney, Steven Silverman.

The little boy, 16 months old, wasn't given food or water because he stopped saying "amen" at meals.

Hat Tip: Many thanks, Mikeybackwards and JUNGLE JIM!

A February 14, 2006 file photo released by Seeta Khadan-Newton shows Ria Ramkissoon and her son Javon Thompson. Ramkissoon, who who was involved with a group that calls itself 1 Mind Ministries, is going on trial Monday, March 30, 2009 in Baltimore Circuit Court, along with four others also charged in the death of Ramkissoon's young son, Javon Thompson in August of 2008.
