IL boy killed when Dad uses his car to tow boy's skateboard

The father, Timothy W. Melvin, was sentenced to 60 days in jail on a child endangerment charge, the Belleville paper reports. The child was accidentally run over by his dad. Melvin says he was confused when he was making his appeal. Snip:

He says he didn't mean to say he knew his son was standing on a skateboard and hanging on to a window of Melvin's car on April 2, 2008. Melvin says he thought he was pleading guilty to not making his son, Zachary, wear a helmet.

He just don't get it. Your son is dead and you still don't want to take any responsibility. 60 days in jail for is nothing for not having any common sense.

What are the odds that the other son was not mistaken about the same thing happening the day before.
