Common sense wins rare legal victory

This is great news from the Supreme Court. The justices have ruled that, if a judge receives big campaign donations from a party in a lawsuit, the judge can't rule in that case.

This all stems from a story out of West Virginia, where an energy executive lost a case in that state's Supreme Court -- so he spent $3 million to get a new justice elected and get that case overturned.

Well if that is not blatant old school bribery I don't know what is!! Wow, it took a ruling for this law??!! >>rolling eyes<<

Sadly, the case actually came down 5-4 with the usual suspects in dissent. (Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts.)

I've temporarily posted an album with a few of our vacation pictures in the right hand column*&*
