Hat was stolen off IL drug investigator's grave

Three people have been charged with stealing the sheriff's department hat off the grave of Matt McElfresh, who did drug investigations for the Adams County, Ill., Sheriff's Department.

Kayla Harris and her mom, Pam, allegedly took the hat so they could give it to Kayla's boyfriend, Anthony Kroeger, who was once arrested by McElfresh. The hat has since been recovered, the Quincy Herald-Whig reports.

Hat Tip: Many thanks, FanDanGo!
