Arrest in stray-bullet shooting at Troost bus stop

From Christine Vendel: Kansas City police arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of a woman by a stray bullet at a bus stop early Sunday.

Police said the teen was in a vehicle and was shooting at occupants of another vehicle about 1:20 a.m. along Troost Avenue near 34th Street when stray gunfire killed a woman and wounded a man. Police were still looking for the occupants of the other vehicle.

Police said they recovered a gun with the teenager. Investigators said they didn’t know a motive for the gunfire.

Earlier today, Kansas City police identified the victim as Lynn Glover, 38, of Kansas City.

The other victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered wounds to his shoulder and back. He told police that he couldn’t feel his legs. He underwent surgery Sunday and remained in critical condition today.

Police officers in the area heard the gunshots and were following several vehicles believed to be engaged in a “rolling gun battle.” The officers stopped two vehicles and detectives questioned the occupants.

I'm all for fast, public executions. Let's boil this little turd in oil and invite the public to watch. It could even be sponsored by Wesson.

I'm glad that the man survived and I hope he isn't paralyzed.

And, I'm glad that they caught one of the suspects. These rolling gun battles have to stop. Of course, this kid will walk after serving only a few years. Sigh.

Let me know when it is Mojo, I'll be there. I'll even go by and bring the victim's family with me.
