Juvenile convictions can apply to "three strikes" law

Under the law passed in 1994, anyone convicted of a felony at age 18 or older who has committed at least two serious or violent felonies must serve between 25 years and life in prison. 

The California Supreme Court ruled Thursday that juvenile convictions can count as strikes.

Crazy!

But, then, mandatory minimum sentencing laws ARE crazy. This just happens to fly in the face of the right to trial by jury.

These guys must be up for election soon.
