Soldier fights deployment because he doesn't think Obama is president

I don't think I've ever heard of a conscientious-objection request quite like this. Story is from Georgia.

He does have a point...

Wow...will be interesting to see how this pans out I hope some how this man wins (I know higly unlikely). Smart attorney too (as attorney's go).

What a stinking coward. Using this B.S as an excuse because he is scared and does not want to leave home. Oh well, one would expect this behavior from a coward. It's probably a good thing if this tool doesn't go because he obviously does not care about anyone but himself. However, when this pu$$y is forced to go, the enlisted troops under his command will frag his yellow butt knowing he won't have their backs. I find it funny how no elected official from the Republican party has not challenged the so-called question about Obama's U.S. citizenship.

And what point is that AmyJean? Regardless of anyone's opinion of Obama, the fact that he was born to a U.S. citizen (his mom) makes him a natural born U.S. citizen regardless of what country he may have been born in (unless the Supreme Court decides to change this rule). Couple that with the fact that he won over 270 electoral votes and that makes Obama, in fact, president. And even if none of the above is true, only congress has the standing to challenge the legitimacy of the president based on his citizenship. This will never make it past a preliminary motion for dismissal.

This man is an insult to everyone who IS serving their country. I hope he gets what he deserves.

Needs a dishonorable discharge, loss of all benefits, and if he has use the GI Bill for school, must repay.

While I'm not a fan of Obama, I agree with Patty PV and Golfer. Voters elected Obama. He is Commander in Chief. Get over it, dude.

What elected officials from the Republican party have questioned Obama's U.S. citizenship Searching? Do you have names with the evidence to back it up? The only people that seem to question Obama's citizenship status are malcontent bloggers and haters.

If he was my soldier he would be court-martialed for cowardice.

Upon further reading I see that this chicken__it is a Major. I hope he isn't in charge of troops.

A soldier that doesn't want to blindly die for a lie?

He *must* be a coward!

What lie are you talking about? Some people think Obama lied about his U.S. citizenship, others still think Bush lied about WMDs. The issue here is this COWARD refuses to serve along side his fellow soldiers by using Obama's citizenship to hide his yellow, cowardly existence. I did not vote for nor did I like the first Bush, but I still served in Desert Shield; why? because I was serving my country, honoring my obligation and watching my buddies' backs.

Cousin Eddie:
Rep. John Culberson (R-TX), Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), Rep. Robert Goodlatte (R-VA), and Rep. John Carter (R-TX) Rep. John Campbell (R-CA) Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK)
There are more.. but they are all currently sponsoring a bill to require it.

Eric Swafford R-Tn is another..

And look what they are doing.. right here in MIssouri:

Fifteen Republican members of the Missouri General Assembly have signed on to a state constitutional amendment that appears aimed at advancing the claims of the fringe movement that doubts President Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president.

The language is contained in a proposed "voter’s bill of rights," which would serve "as a defense against corruption, fraud, and tyranny."

The proposed amendment states:

For candidates who are required by the Constitution of the United States to be natural born citizens, the secretary of state shall request an official copy of the candidate’s birth certificate. Other certifications, such as a certificate of live birth, shall not be accepted. Should any candidate fail to provide an official birth certificate within thirty days of the request by the secretary of state, his or her name shall not be placed on the ballot.

The Birthers, as they're known, have focused on the State of Hawaii's refusal to release the original of Obama's birth certificate, as opposed to official copies; Hawaii state law bars the release of the original.

State Rep. Robert Cooper wasn't immediately available to discuss the bill, which has drawn criticism on local liberal blogs.

So, if it isnt produced, they wont be on the ballot here. More states to follow.

This guy is a piece of work. Mobilize his butt now and put him in the mix where he'll be dealt with for being a coward...

Eddie the only ones that dont question it are koolaid drinkers.

Ya know, if McCain had been elected, this asshat could have used the same excuse though. McCain was born in Panama. Chester A Arthur was allegedly born in Canada to an Irish father and American mother and got about the same level of srutiny amounting to the same molehill.

If you're born to at least one U.S. citizen parent, you're a U.S. citizen, so doesn't that make you a natural born citizen? Until the Supreme Court decides otherwise, it looks like that's the way it is.

I have to say I'm surprised that an officer would pull this sort of thing. He can kiss any sort of military career goodbye.

Sasquach,
WRONG. The mother was under age and it is said that Barry wasn't even born in THIS country, but Kenya.
The mother wasn't legally married to this guy because he was already married to a woman in Kenya. They can find no one who witnessed Barry's birth in Hawaii, but several in Kenya say they were present at his birth in KENYA...including his grandmother.
If this isn't so...he should give up the official birth certificate.
Here is another point. He traveled as a young man to Pakistan when Americans were NOT allowed to travel there. What place of birth is on that passport???
Let's see his college papers too. He went to college as a foreign student. What country did he put down??
If all of this is just "myth" why doesn't he give supporting certificate and papers for his birth in this country.
IF HE IS NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN....HE BROKE THE LAW. Anything he has signed if FALSE and any order he gives is FALSE.
