Mom goes to prison for kidnapping hoax

Sweeten

The recommended sentence for hoaxing a kidnapping is probation, but the judge felt that Bonnie Sweeten, who said she and her daughter were abducted by "two black men" deserved more, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

After calling her "a calculating, manipulative, cold-blooded woman," who caused widespread fear, stirred racial tensions and inflicted severe humiliation on her loved ones, the judge sentenced her to nine to 24 months in prison followed by 50 hours of community service and four years of probation.

She was found at a luxury resort Disney World. She was escaping some other shady business she had been doing, like stealing money from co-workers and family.

"Most of us who are lucky enough to go to Disney World have memories of the Cinderella parade and 'It's a Small World,' " Henry said. "This child will remember her mother getting arrested by the FBI."

BONUS: Watch here how her father attacks a cameraman in court.

I hope Dad was charged with assault. I have no sympathy for news crews by any means, but I have less for someone who thinks they can just go around shoving people around.

She's kind of cute.

Ok, you've done your 9mth, your 50 hours of community service.. now what are you going to do?

"I'm going to ... wait a minute"

IF we lived in a enlightened society she would be executed right after judgment.
