KC teen beat up Mom's Boyfriend, police allege

From Christine Vendel: Kansas City police have arrested a 17-year-old suspected of robbing and beating his mother’s boyfriend earlier this month. The attack left the victim blind in one eye.

The 46-year-old victim told police he was walking to the store about 11:40 p.m. Oct. 1 near 46th Street and the Paseo when four or five young men confronted him. They knocked him to the ground and beat, kicked and pistol-whipped him. They pulled off his pants and stole about $5,000 from his pocket. The victim identified the attacker with the gun as his girlfriend’s son, Fredrick A. Newton.

Something tells me he didnt have that $5,000 in his pocket from just cashing his tax refund check.

Yeah, I will bet there is more to their relationship than is mentioned here... what kind of idiot has 5,000 in their pocket, walking around 46th and Paseo? Drug dealer?Pimp?

I keep $5,000 in my pants for the CSKC ladies, it's like winning the Daily Double on Jeopardy...

Looks like it's the wrong link.

Brad - it is the last of the 4 stories on that page, all with small bold font headlines.
