Lord, there is too much craziness to summarize here. Basically, a New York TV anchorman and his wife visit Kansas City a few days after he was on trial for allegedly beating her -- and she changed her testimony to say the beating was actually from a "mysterious day laborer." The trip does not go well.
Hat Tip: Many thanks, AMNewsboy!

Okay, I suggest NY promptly file suborning perjury charges against this guy as well as re-introduction of the domestic violence charges against him.
Also, how does one check into a major hotel under an assumed name - it is not like he was a superstar whose identity/location needed to be protected.

But did they try our delicious Barbecue?
(If you don't know, any time anyone visits KC they must eat BBQ while they are here. It's sort of like going to Sydney Australia and not getting a picture near the Opera House.

Sounds to me like she had enough and was headed home to pack and leave where he could not find her.

oh bejebsus....this is CRAZYYY...I mean Craazaaayyy...
The couple flew to Kansas City two days after Dominic's bench trial last Thursday for allegedly punching, kicking and choking his wife, a Manhattan College administrator, in their Rockland County home on Oct. 22, 2008.
Dominic had been scheduled to give a "motivational speech" at an NAACP dinner Saturday night, but canceled because "he wasn't feeling well" after landing, Snapp said.
The next day, around 10:50 p.m., cops rushed over to the Marriott when a person claiming to be a Carter relative called the hotel and said "they are concerned that Dominic is going to commit suicide," Snapp said.
Cops found Carter -- checked in under the name Charles Brown -- alone in his room.
Around 11:30 p.m., with officers still at the hotel, the couple's daughter, Courtney, 21, called them from New York to relay an earlier phone call with Marilyn in which "things didn't seem right. Her mother seemed like she might have been under some type of duress," Snapp said.
During that call, Courtney told them the family had "domestic violence issues," Snapp said.
Lets hear it for THAT motivational speaker.
Also, she has a REALLY bad wig, and a REALLY cheap purse. He also has a REALLY cheap suit on. They look pretty natty.
