Nidal Hasan, the man accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood, is paralyzed from the chest down, his lawyer says. (Previous reports said the paralysis started at his waist.) Hasan is going to stay at his Army hospital for now, though he could be moved later to a different medical center or even jail. He had his first hearing on Saturday, in the intensive care unit of all places.

If I read or hear one more media report that Hasan "allegedly" killed 13 people and injured 30+ others I think that I will vomit.
And to believe that we have to provide this piece of human feces medical care and a fair trial?
Give America a break. It is no wonder that any terrorist in the world has no fear of this nation. It is long past time when this nation begins to respond in kind to this type of attack. Until we do that these single, paralyzing attacks are going to continue for years to come.
If that means killing 3000 innocent people in the capitals of Saudi Arabia, Iran or Iraq so be it. They killed 3000 in NYC with absolutely no compunction - they have no sense of moral guilt and we had better learn to accept that. They cannot be treated as "normal" humans.
Until our "politically correct leaders(?)" make a definitive statement condemning these continuing acts AND FOLLOW UP ON THEIR STATEMENTS OF SINCERITY IN STOPPING THEM, these animals will just continue to threaten the world.
Just look at the Samoli "pirates." Nations just keep buying them off and they become more brazen with each passing day. Blow the little b-----ds out of the water. Will some innocent person have to perish to accomplish that? Certainly, but after these monsters realize that the rest of the world has grown tired of their crap they will utimately cease with their shenanigans.
Enough is enough, already!!!

Two comments...
He needs a taxpayer payed for lawyer?
Hopefully, being paralyzed is the least of his worries.

Here's me giving a damn about this waste of a life.
You know, he did this in Texas, let the state take this case to trial. Not only do they have the Death Penalty, but they have an express lane for it.

Harper, your words are scary. We have already killed thousands of innocent people during these current wars - and what has it gotten us? It has not stopped any innocents from being murdered here or anywhere else. Why do you think that other people in other nations who are having innocent people killed by us would not be expecting the same thing done to us for killing their innocents? Your type of thinking just keeps these events happening - they do not stop them. Just look at history. And why would you hold innocent people in other nations responsible for the actions of this man? That is not rational.
If you are so frustrated, you could become a suicide bomber and kill off a few of these foreigners if that would make you happy, but it wouldn't solve the larger problem. People hate us. You wonder why. We go to other countries and overthrow their governments and kill their people. And you do not think they have the right to get mad about that! Just because we kill people with bombs falling from planes doesn't make it any less horrendous.

Frank---I agree that he should suffer the severest punishment that he has coming to him. That written, as to their looking for ss for them looking for sympathy. Look dorkstroke, I suffered a broken neck in a freak accident 6 yrs ago and was told I'd never walk again. I know EXACTLY what he is going through with his paralyais and it took me a long time to get to a point where I can walk using a walker and brace but still have to spend most of my time in a wheelchair. I know what goes with having no feeling below the waist. Took 2 yrs for that. The daily spontaneous muscular spasms I could go on and on.It's no frikking fun. You should try it some time.
Now if you want him hung so be it but don't ever make fun of ANYBODY that's paralyzed.

Darn, those virgins are everywhere, but I cannot feel a thing.

Until we quit recognizing muslim as a religion, crap like this can and will continue. Why do we recognize a violent cult as an organized religion?
Once muslims are no longer considered organized religion, we can deal with them in quite a different fashion.
If any muslims are offended by this post, just pray to allah for my soul instead of killing some "infidel".

hey cripjak - did you become paralyzed as a result of you opening fire on an Army base ? No ? Then your story and experiences are irrelevant. In this particular case, he deserves his paralysis. I'm sure in your case, you did not.
Posted by: m@ | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 09:49 AM
Muslims that think like you do, Pat the Rat, are saying the same thing about Christians and Jews. You have a lot more in common than you think!

m@ & Frank---Frank, first I apologize to you for ranting on you. It was undeserved. I was ranting out of frustration I feel ocassionallywhen people don't seem to realize the challenges faced by the physically disabled everyday. It's a bitch but you get by. M@---I agree with yours and Franks position that this POS deserves everything he gets and I only wish that he was paralyzed from the neck down. I can speak from experience on that point. Now, would it be cruel and unusual punishment to execute a paralyzed guy? Not in this case.
FYI to M@---I broke my neck playing frisbee with my son. Not a joke. Although I've had alot of laughs about it since it happened. He's a cancer survivor and I always figured if he could beat that I could beat this. Doing pretty good so far.

Butthead--LOL! Great one!

More rants from the Fringe Society...I'm sure if he wasn't paralyzed the Army PROSECUTORS would make us--and the court martial--well aware of it.
Posted by: sly | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:10 AM
Good then he can't escape. But get him out of the hospital run by the Army he despises so much. Put him in a jail facility if you must but I think it is an afront to the Army personel caring for him.

The ironic part is that until he is tried and found guilty, he is still a Major in the Army and the military is paying for his medical treatment.

The man is clearly psychotic. He doesnt represent Islam in any way. and just so you know Islam considers Jews and Christians people of the book. Unfortunately the hatred seen on some of these responses is what drives crazy men crazier and they commit horrible acts (denouncing the religion). If we all had more compassion for each other the world would be a much better place.
We as a nation have killed many more thousands of innocents in this war, and for what? We are no better off. Also, some of you should keep in mind that Jesus was also Middle Eastern before you go stereotyping the world.

Drasil, it wouldn't surprise me if he's already in the process of receiving an ART. 134. But I know they're playing by the book in this case too.
Posted by: D-man | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:54 AM
IF it is true, too bad, so sad... NOT!!!!
Posted by: Momof2 | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:12 AM
He's a dead man anyway, just not a dead man walking.
Posted by: FredZeppelin | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:50 AM
D-man, they wouldn't muddy the waters with charging him under article 134 at this time (unless you mean establishing preliminary charges.) Until he is tried and found guilty he still receives full pay and benefits. Personnel junior to him are still required to respect his rank and salute and call him "sir." And, the only way to break him in rank and remove all pay is through courts-martial. That is, unless tried through civilian courts and found guilty. Then they can process him out as undesireable.

Someone needs to accidentally set the defibrilator on frizzle-fry and put it to good use on this 'un.
Posted by: getreal85 | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 12:47 PM
yeah, I would figure they would just put all the eggs in one basket and throw it at him instead of knocking him down. The only good thing is that prisoners are not allowed to salute or be saluted.
Posted by: D-man | Monday, November 23, 2009 at 01:25 PM
True, d-man, but that is CONVICTED prisoners, I believe.

1. The guy is nuts.
2. That is no excuse for killing your fellow soldiers -- guys who trusted you.
3. This is only aggrivated by the fact that he is a doctor and an officer.
4. He will suffer far more than if he had simply been killed.
5. His interpretation of Islam is warped and poisonous -- much like the religious interpretation of some Christians that it would be a good thing to have a Mideast War killing thousands and millions -- so they can get Raptured real quick. Psychopathica religiousa.
6. Hiding their heads in the sand was not the right response for those who should have seen this guy degenerating into madness.
7. Nor is it smart to simply dismiss the issues he raised about the special sensitivity of Moslem troops in this conflict -- no different from the special sensitivities of other minorities in past wars. Special sensitivity doesn't mean disloyalty or untrustworthiness -- witness the remarkable bravery of Japanese-American troops in WWII. But it does mean using some common sense, for which no amount of "political correctness" can substitute.

KCC, I'm not sure that the comparison to Japanese-Americans is really a good one. They were used to fight in Europe, not against the Japanese. Although, come to think of it, I suppose we could use our Islamic religion troops on France.
