How NOT to run a prostitution sting

In Pennsylvania, an appeals court has ruled against the state police saying they severely botched a prostitution sting. How? Well, they were contacted by a man who said he'd been repeatedly approached for sex while trying to get a massage. Do they send a trained officer back into the business, undercover? Nope, they send the same guy -- only this time, they give him money to pay for the sex, which he goes ahead and has. They did this FOUR TIMES. In fact, the man enjoys what one judge called "a smorgasbord of sexual activity." Also, the police paid HIM $180 for his time.

The first link needs to be fixed. ;)

That would have been the coolest snitch job ever!

Even I wouldn't think that the police would be that stupid.

This makes me SICK!!! It is the cops giving their buddy a chance to possibly have FREE sex!!! The cops are worse than than working girls!!! ARREST THE COPS!!!! This crap would not even be allowed in other countries. The police in the UK are better police because they always under watch. The police here in the U.S. just run wild with shake downs, murders etc....

Welcome to the US. If you criticize authoritarian power here, that makes you unpatriotic.

What is wrong with "a smorgasbord of sexual activity."? We do call this a "free country" dont we?

It is arguable here that the police are "promoting prostitution" which is illegal in most states.

If the police have to violate the law to enforce another law, which, in this case, has not victim because I saw nothing of children or force, then was is the value in all this.

Sounds like this is run by MIssouri Dept of Social Services, which is basically a prostituion ring.

A real government "stimulus" package?

Any criminal activity is ok....if the govt is running it or profiting from it.

Gambling was a terrible sin and vice in most states until the state realized the financial boon in a state run lottery....then it was ok.

Heck, Kansas now promotes giving lottery tickets as Christmas gifts. Get the irony there?

Actually, gambling was less damaging to society when the Mob ran it.

Now it is Corporate Gaming, and the muscle to keep thing smoothe & collect is supplied by the State in the form of state troopers on site & courts to collect gambling debts on credit cards.

No Mob boss could have aspired to thet level of corrupt partnership with the State.

Meanwhile, the Feds are busy locking up kids who won't cooperate in an internet poker "ring"! For this we pay taxes?

I read the story fully expecting to see
Aqua's name somewhere.....
