In Thousand Oaks, Calif., a man is accused of paying a teen $31 to spit in his face. (The charge is misdemeanor child annoyance, the AP reports.) The police allege the man had been paying teenage boys to smack him and curse at him, as well as making with the spit. Some boys say they were also offered money to urinate and defecate on the guy, though it doesn't sound if anybody took him up on that. They apparently linked up via MySpace.
I'm just trying to imagine -- if the allegations are even true -- whether this was a regular part-time job for some kid.
"Hey, Johnny, that's a swell car. How did you afford it?"
"Well, Bill, I did some things I'm not really proud of."

"...misdemeanor child annoyance"
There's a law against everything, plus a few more just to be safe!

That sounds like some awesome anger therapy for teenagers, though. I'd argue that would help prevent some serious damage: instead of ending up doing something truly horrible because of teenage angst, just take it out bit by bit on this guy, right?

There won't be justice in America until children can be charged with misdemeanor adult annoyance! (And felonies, in some cases.)

Not much different from guys who get their jollies having women stomp on, kick or otherwise abuse their genitals, or guys who go to professional (or amateur) dommes to become "slaves" for a couple of hours or otherwise humiliated. It's pretty huge, judging from adult dating web sites that cater to that sort of thing. (Not that I would know anything about it *coy wink*)
