In Reno County, Kan., a defense attorney reportedly pulled the pin off a dead grenade and placed it on the prosecutor's table during closing statements. (As a way to illustrate the concept of "imminent threat.") The sheriff's office is investigating. The sheriff already says it's illegal to bring any weapon into court without prior approval, even if the device is harmless. It didn't help his client, who was found guilty.
