Olathe plans amnesty day for next week

Olathe is planning an amnesty day for people with outstanding municipal warrants. The amnesty period will run from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

From Olathe police:

Those who appear in the Olathe Municipal Court during this time will not be arrested on warrants issued through the Olathe Municipal Court.

All non-paid warrant fees will be waived for those prepared to pay all fines, fees and costs on this date.

Consideration of partial payments and payment plans will be at the discretion of the Judge and/or Prosecutor.

If payment plans are agreed to, all non-paid warrant fees will be waived upon payment in full.  If one payment is missed, warrant fees will be reinstated.

Those individuals with active Olathe Municipal warrants are encouraged to take advantage of this limited opportunity for amnesty.  The Municipal Court Judge, Prosecutors and court staff will be available to assist those looking to resolve their case(s).

Additional information can be obtained by accessing the city's website (www.olatheks.org), or calling the court clerk's office at 913-971-6393.

Wish they'd call it something else. I keep getting all excited thinking it's a penalty-free crime day in Olathe. I'm all ready to go streaking while smoking a big sleef when it turns out it's just for outstanding warrants.

I'm gonna turn myself in for being soooo damn sexy ...

Aqua's too sexy for amnesty....
too sexy for amnesty
soooooo damn sexy.....

LMAO

Need pics Aqua. Pretty please?

I'm sure he has a few full montys....

I hope this is successful. It will save taxpayers money both by reducing overhead to book nonviolent offenders thru jail, as well as fees.
Thank you Olathe for using common sense.
