Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Parole officers did a terrible job watching Phillip Garrido, report says:

Yep, those parole officers screwed up royally! Makes you wonder what other parolees are up to right now.

It's not surprising that any state employee would even work hard even in supervising sex offenders. Any government, county or state employees, I cannot call them workers are generally lazy with no initiative. I've known employees who fish during the day while they should be working and supervising. You need to wonder how many more unsupervised sex offenders or parollees are out there without pthe proper watch - 1000's.

1 parole officer for every 3400 offenders and each seen an avg. of 45 mins. a month if they're lucky. There's a managable ratio for you. With Californias budget problems it's not going to get better anytime soon.

Maybe if we'd all stop worrying about the stupid War On Drugs, the police might be able to focus their (apparently) very limited abilities on stuff that actually matters.

I shake my magic 8 ball and ask....will there be a lawsuit against the state for negligence..... I turn it over and it says.... Definately.....

I think we all failed jaycee. If more of garrido's associates/neighbors knew about his offender status, would the sheriff have rec'd more complaints and could she have been found sooner. Honestly, we have to watch out for each other. I read in this article that you can now track offenders through Facebook....and we could almost guarantee many of his associates are on facebook daily. http://www.lawfirms.com/facebook-sex-offender-apps.html
