Something awful happened at Petland

In Akron, a former Petland employee has been sentenced to six months of probation after she was allegedly photographed smiling while she drowned two injured rabbits. Snip:

"I asked her why she was smiling in the photograph of herself holding the dead rabbits," said Fallis. "She said her boss at the pet store told her to hold up the rabbits and smile, so she did. She said she knew she had done something horrible, but that her psychology classes taught her to smile when you're having a bad day."

I can understand smiling while you choke your chicken, but not while drowning your rabbit.

Taught by Professor Cruella DeVille?

What a silly waste of time and water. Just twist their heads and they pop off.

Glenn Close would be proud.

Sounds nasty, but what do you want the store to do with injured rabits? They can't be sold...

... course, I find petstores pretty sh**ty enterprises in the first place, barely this side of puppy mills.

A tempest in a teapot - what's the real problem that everyone's experiencing? Oh right, the ECONOLYPSE. (Give it a snazzy name or people might start calling this a Depression!)

I am a little confused how someone can turn a teenager, that doesnt know how to say "NO" into a political cause?
but.. ok.. I blame Obama.. there, you happy?

Is Liz Carlisle gonna hafta choke a bunny?

If Sarah Palin can be photographed with a turkey being killed in the background, I would say two rabbits can be in the average citizen. OK, J/K, don't get your panties twisted.

Drowning an animal, whether because it is injured or must be disposed of for some other reason, is one of the most painless ways you can end its life. We do not have bunnie retirement homes funded by our taxpayers.

These PC laws are BS. If they used them to regulate livestock ranchers, they all be in prison.

But I can see turkeys and rabbits from my back porch...oh wait, that's Russia.

It's not like it was Bugs and Thumper.

I wonder how she does at chokin' chickens.

This kind of thing is a lead-in to making it a crime to kill animals in order to eat them.
