Does this man deserve to be executed?

Akmal

Chinese authorities are preparing to execute a British national named Akmal Shaikh for drug smuggling, but his family says Shaikh is a homeless man with mental illness who was tricked into smuggling drugs. (They say he was told he'd become an international superstar and be allowed to record his world-peace anthem, "Come Little Rabbit," if he went to China.)

Executions for drug offenses are BARBARIC.

Of course, we have little room to complain, given our own extreme punishments, and the fact that our prohibitionist policies set a bad example to the world.

KC Cicero, do you really think We/America set the example for China with our prohibitionist policies? I mean do you really think China gives a husky poop about what the rest of the World does or thinks about what it does?

The US no longer has any credibility when it comes to talking about human rights violations. Why do you think every country just tells us to F off nowadays?

Marvin, try voicing your opinion on human rights in China, N Korea, Russia, or a host of countries in Africa and see how far you get.

Bow down to China, they own you and your country

Why do you think every country just tells us to F off nowadays?
