Merriam PD needs witnesses to wreck

From Merriam PD:

On the morning of Wednesday, December 02, 2009 at approximately 5:49 a.m., officers of the Merriam Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at Shawnee Mission Parkway and I-35 Highway.

A red Dodge Caravan was exiting northbound I-35 onto Shawnee Mission Parkway. A black Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on Shawnee Mission Parkway. Both vehicles collided in the intersection. The driver of the red Dodge was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Her passengers were treated at the scene and released to family members. The driver of the Black Ford was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

The Merriam Police Department Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating this accident and needs some help. We need anyone who may have witnessed this accident to please contact the Merriam Police Department Traffic Unit at 913-322-5560. or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Why do they want to wreck witnesses? No wonder "stop snitching" is still going strong.

Why don't they just make up a story like usual?

Both parties are blaming each other and someone blew a red light.
