The New York Times profiles Dr. LeRoy H. Carhart of Bellevue, Neb. Carhart was a friend of the late George Tiller and is starting to offer late-term abortions -- which means he's becoming the focus of Operation Rescue and others who protested against Tiller. These new opponents say they're trying to get the state to investigate Carhart and see if any of his procedures violate Nebraska law. Meanwhile, the doctor has been forced to upgrade his security system.

Post-term abortion is murder. Case in point.

Why can't anti-choice zealots just mind their own business? If you don't like abortions, don't have one. It's as simple as that.

When will the anti-baby zealots realize that killing as a form of birth control is barbaric? Shouldn't they consider birth control sometime prior to having sex?

Lol we've got zealots on both sides now. ;)

I am really surprised that he would put himself thru all this stress and headaches...after all he is a millionaire. Almost every person in my small town owns 1 or 2 of his jackets.

When will the ignorant anti-choice zealots learn that there are many reasons that a woman may need an abortion that have nothing to do with birth control?

I understand him wanting to carry on Tiller's work and believing in his cause. But did he not see what happened to the last Dr. who picked-up the baton and ran with it?
He is either very dedicated or has a death wish.

Thanks for the address. I think I'll send him a thank you card and a donation to help with the upgraded security.

Boogaloo Shrimp. Check the Stats, 1% of abortions are preformed to save the mother or in case of rape or incest.
That means 99% are for birth control.
These abortionist, set themselves up as close as they can to minorities and low income areas. They are deliberately seeking out to abort their babies. But, I guess like any other business, they gotta go where their product is best sold. If the consumer is too ignorant to realize that their business is to kill as many of the babies of these specific groups as possible, I guess they will continue to operate, unhindered.

sick of the idiots. He doesnt take donations, he doesnt do this pro bono. He is for profit....and profit, he has.
Posted by: Searching | Saturday, December 05, 2009 at 08:12 PM
yes. I'm aware that he is paid for his services. Most people are. However, since I am a man, and thus unlikely to become a client, I figure a donation would still be accepted.
So, I can assume from your comments that so long as he worked for free and only serviced the caucasian population none of this would be a problem for you. I'll send a note with my donation.
