There's a difference between "putting them to sleep" and "giving them something to make them sleep."

I love the side effect "may cause nightmares." Doesn't falling asleep always have that risk?

I suppose it's better than giving them whiskey like my husband's bio dad used to do to my sisters-in-law (his half sisters) when they were toddlers. The dad thought it was funny to see the faces they made and funnier when they started to wobble and when they fell down and went to sleep. Mom finally caught him at it and promptly left him (with kids, of course).
