To stop vandals, Mo. city might restrict spray paint

Spray

In Hannibal, city leaders are so annoyed about vandalism that they are considering ways to keep spray paint out of young people's hands, the Courier-Post reports. One proposal would require an ID to buy spray paint. Another would ban young people from buying spray paint without a parent's permission. A city attorney is researching the problem to see if these measures would hold up.

Spray paint doesnt vandalize, vandals do.

Because there aren't bigger problems to solve in Hannibal.

This is stupid. How about you do your job and shoot the people when you catch them?
Then, I can still cover old furniture with the ease of a spray , without having to show id.

Ghee.. guess they will have to goto the next town to get spray paint.. not really going to stop them like that..

They will just have to tag the inside of the WalMart now.

when spray paint is illegal, only criminals will have spray paint

The kids won't be able to buy spray paint. But this guy can.

Cool. Just how LEOs should do their job: hassle 100% of the populace to theoretically catch the 1% criminal...which they never seem to do.

Actually it is illegal in Kansas City for anyone under 18 to possess or purchase spray paint. This law was passed during the mayoralty of Emmanuel Cleaver II.

You sure that's mayorality and not morality?

That is what govt is good at....punishing the innocent.
