Surgery tech gave Hep C to 36 people because of drugs

In Colorado, a former surgery technician named Kristen Diane Parker has pleaded guilty to charges that she exposed patients -- possibly hundreds -- to Hepatitis C. (They've confirmed that 36 have the condition now.) Parker, a drug addict who had the disease, would steal syringes full of Fentanyl, a powerful painkiller, and inject herself. Then she'd put the syringe back, filled with saline but still carrying a dirty needle. She could be sentenced to 20 years.
