A brief history of Kansas City's organized crime

I ran across this older piece by Allan May over at Crime Magazine, but it's still a nice resource on organized crime and Kansas City, at least in the 20th century. They start with the Pendergast machine, though, and don't get into the earlier gangs like the Black Hand.
