Pamela Smart still says she's innocent

It's been nearly 20 years since Pamela Smart's spouse, Gregg, was murdered in their New Hampshire home. Smart, a teacher's aide, was convicted of seducing a teenage boy, then getting him and some buddies to kill her husband. This was long before "teacher seduces student" stories became a regular fixture in the news, so the case shocked the general public and made national headlines. "To Die For," the movie starring Nicole Kidman, was "influenced" by the crime. I can remember reading a true-crime novel about Smart back in high school.

Of the four teens convicted in the case, two are on parole, and the other two will be eligible in five years. Smart is doing life without parole. She still says she never wanted her husband dead and blames the boys, saying they lied to get a plea deal. She also says the media coverage denied her a fair trial.

Here's the Wikipedia profile on Smart.
