Kelsey Smith Foundation wins FBI award

Smith

The Kelsey Smith Foundation -- named after the local girl who was abducted and murdered -- has received the Director's Community Leadership Award from the FBI, representing the area served by the Kansas City field office. The foundation organizes safety seminars, and the Smiths have lobbied for Kelsey's Law, legislation designed to require faster cooperation from cellphone companies if someone has been abducted.

And they have a damn fine golf tournament every year to raise money for the foundation.

Been there, done that, won that, enjoy it.

yet another reason to watch grown men spend all day searching for their balls.

That's why I don't play golf, Jean. I know EXACTLY where mine are at all times. Much less stressful.

Married Keith?

LOL!

I don't play golf because of a comment a college professor said to me:

"There might be a reason for a grown man to walk in the woods and knock the be-snockers out of a little ball but there's no reason for the same man to then good looking for it."

Still all the golfers I know tell me that it's the comraderie, personal competition (and ocassional wager!) that make the game enjoyable and not "a good walk, spoiled" which is what Twain called golf

I'm not a regular golfer. I've played once or twice, but I can appreciate it. I can also appreciate drinking beer and driving a little car around cussing at a ball.

Divorced, onetime. That's much less stressful, too. (Actually for an ex, my ex is pretty darn good.)

Getting back on the subject, I wonder what delusional beliefs these guys promote back and forth to each other about the subject of sexual predators.

Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Smith for you wonderful foundation! You work hard for the reward of helping others. God Bless!
