At Jerry Mitchell's "Journey to Justice" blog, there's a post that says James Earl Ray knew about a KKK bounty on the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. that was worth $100,000. Which is leading some to wonder if Ray was actively trying to claim the money when he murdered the civil-rights leader.

I contend the new theory was invented by the same organization that has my vote as the most likely to have been behind it: The CIA. The best red herring is another red herring.

A Memphis Jury concluded in 1999 that FBI agents, the US Military and CIA we behind the assassination of Martin Luther King.
The trial attorney William Pepper has authored two books detailing the evidence he presented to the jury. They are ORDERS TO KILL and ACT OF STATE see James Douglas's
review of the trial here http://www.ratical.com/ratville/JFK/MLKconExp.html

It certainly exposes a contradiction in the idea of white supremacy. If whites are so darned superior, why feel threatened by MLK? It's hard to go around claiming superiority when there's a black man so obviously more intelligent than you and accomplishing more than you right in your face.
Too bad for them, killing him didn't stop his message. It only punctuated it with an exclamation mark.

CIA or KKK? Not sure there was much difference back then. Why isnt the KKK considered a terrorist organization based on their actions?
