Corpse is man missing since January

On Tuesday afternoon, a farmer found a corpse in a field near 327th and South Lone Tree, near Harrisonville, the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports. Those remains belong to Luke Schuman, 29, a man from Lincoln, Neb., who was reported missing back on Jan. 3. (He came to Harrisonville with a friend, it was reported at the time.) Authorities believe his death is suspicious, though a medical examiner hasn't determined how Schuman died yet. They're asking anyone who might have contacted Schuman after Jan. 1 to call 816-380-5200.
