Police investigate Independence death

UPDATED: Police say they're treating the case as a homicide. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 816-325-7330 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

PREVIOUSLY: Police are looking into the case of Randy Stone, an insurance agent, who was found dead last week in his office in Independence. Brian Burnes has an article this morning about Stone, who was 42 and married with two kids. He'd been with Farmers Insurance about 13 years and was preparing to go out on his own. Friends say he was active in New Hope Baptist Church and drove a bus for their Sunday school.
