It happened about 8:40 p.m. Sunday as two vehicles were leaving the park near 63rd Street and Swope Parkway. Police believe the occupants of a black SUV started shooting at people in the other car. The passenger in that car was hurt, and the driver died at the scene, Kansas City police say. The two victims were in their 20s, Lynn Horsley reports.
