Shooters named in Ark. cops' murder

Authorities say that Jerry R. Kane and his son, 16-year-old Joe, were the suspects in the deaths of two West Memphis police officers during a traffic stop on Thursday. The Commercial Appeal says the Kanes offered seminars about mortgages and foreclosure strategies, and they also held anti-government views -- extreme ones, the paper says, judging from online videos and audio. The story quotes the Southern Poverty Law Center, which says the Kanes held views similar to the "sovereign citizen" movement.
