Hit-and-run driver strikes in south KC

From KCPD: This morning at approximately 7 a.m., KCMO police were called to the 7600 block of East 109th Street in regard to a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located a 66-year-old female in the grass suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital and is currently in ICU.

A witness observed a silver or gray, late 80’s, regular cab pick-up truck, driven by a 40-50-year-old white male, flee the scene after the accident. The vehicle should have front end damage as a result of the accident. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.8477.
