Red-light cameras catch cops, too

In Cedar Rapids, police have issued disciplinary letters to six officers who were caught running red lights without their lights and sirens, as documented by the city's red-light cameras. Five officers were cleared, and fifteen other incidents are under review.

Disciplinary letters were issued, what a total crock of BS.

Did they have to pay the fine too?

John Q. Public doesnt get a disciplinary letter.

He gets a ticket.

I agree. If they're going to continue to enforce those "civil penalties", the po-po violators should have to pay up, too. Either that or their department should have to pay the fines to the collectors. Without that, the perception of separation will be even greater than it already is in their community.

Thanks for shareing.YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
