Here's hoping you've had a relaxing holiday weekend -- because local police and paramedics have NOT. Eric Adler has a rundown of the more serious incidents. At this point, eight people have been killed in shootings and traffic accidents. That's not counting the various injuries, like the incident where eight people were wounded when a shotgun went off. From the police spokeswoman:
“It was just senseless. Even the shootings could have been prevented — if people wouldn’t drink and drive, or if people would figure out how to settle their conflicts."
