Shooting victims might have been firing at each other, KCPD says

From Christine Vendel: Two men who suffered gunshot wounds Tuesday night may have been shooting at each other, Kansas City police said today.

Police found the first victim walking on the sidewalk at 39th Street and Cleveland Avenue about 9:15 p.m. He had been shot in the arm and abdomen. After saying he had been shot two blocks south and one block to the west, he refused to cooperate with police.

Officers drove three blocks to 41st Street and Monroe Avenue and found a second victim, who had been shot several times in the leg. His injuries were considered life-threatening.
