Apartment manager gets into shootout with gunmen, police say

From Tony Rizzo: A midtown Kansas City apartment manager was not hurt after exchanging shots with two masked men late Thursday night.

The 45-year-old man told police that when he went to investigate a noise in the hall outside his apartment in the 1300 block of East Armour Blvd. he was confronted by two persons dressed in black with black masks over their faces.

"Break yourself fool. Back up,” one of them told him.

The manager shut the door, grabbed a handgun and fired a shot through the wall. One of the suspects fired a shot, he reported, and he then stepped into the hallway and fired another shot as they ran away, according to police reports.

Comments

People are tired of being shot, beaten, robbed, raped, and left for dead. Others are getting tired of feeling vulnerable as they stand by and watch, afraid for their own lives. We are getting to a point where the general public is fighting back. We have had enough!

it may take a few years of shooting back, but the thugs will eventually get the message.
"an armed society is a polite society."
