Dog hanged from Independence tree

There's a special place in Hell for whoever did this. Independence police are investigating after someone hanged a Jack Russell terrier, Chico, from a tree either late Friday or early Saturday. Sara and Mike interviewed Chico's owner, Brenda Looney, here.

The Independence Examiner story about this infers that the dog's owner knows who did this. Very creepy. I would never leave an animal of mine outside overnight, especially not tied up so it couldn't get away from someone menacing it!
