Former Justice Stevens explains why he opposes death penalty

Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has written a piece for the New York Review of Books explaining why he's now against the death penalty, after casting a crucial vote for capital punishment earlier in his career. Basically, he says, executing inmates poses too high a risk that an innocent person will be killed.
