On Friday, federal authorities arrested Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, who allegedly plotted to detonate an explosive during a tree-lighting in Portland, Ore. Mohamud, who was born in Somalia, was actually the subject of an undercover sting. On Sunday, firefighters were called to put out a fire that had been set at a mosque that Mohamud occasionally intended.
