Tom DeLay convicted of money laundering

Delay

Tom DeLay, the former House majority leader, was convicted Wednesday of money laundering charges in Texas, where he reportedly illegally directed corporate money to candidates. DeLay, who is free on bond, says that he's innocent. Prosecutors haven't recommended a sentence yet, but he could spend several years behind bars.
