Ohio mom gets jail for falsifying records so daughters could attend better school

Interesting case from Ohio, where a woman was convicted of falsifying residency records so her two daughters could attend better public schools, the Enquirer reports. Mom will serve 10 days and have the rest of her sentence suspended, and she also has to peform community service.

Moreover, this effectively ends her teaching career before it starts. She's a few hours from completing a degree, but won't be allowed to claim it because of her conviction. The district says the girls' time at their school cost it more than $30,000.
