Jackson County prosecutors have accused Kendrick D. Anderson of participating in the shooting death of a man who had talked to Anderson’s girlfriend outside a downtown club March 20.
Prosecutors charged Anderson, 21, of Kansas City, with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He is accused of following Steven Lee Anthony Jackson’s car to Eighth and Charlotte streets after Jackson, 19, talked to his girlfriend in a parking lot after the nightclub Xpressions closed at 220 Admiral Boulevard.
An occupant of Anderson’s car fired into Jackson’s car, killing him and critically wounding his friend. The gunman and other occupant of Anderson’s car remain on the loose.
